An HR and payroll stall on a fintech floor, and two minutes on the Loop Arena stage. Here is the weekend in photographs.

Nepal Fintech Expo came back for its second edition from Friday 9 to Sunday 11 October 2026 (Asoj 23–25, 2083), at Heritage Garden in Sanepa, Lalitpur. Fintech Alliance Nepal runs it as a meeting point for the country's digital finance sector.

An HR and payroll product is an unusual thing to bring to a fintech floor, and that is the reason we went. Every bank, wallet and payment company in that hall is also an employer. Their HR teams have the same questions about leave, attendance and month-end payroll as anyone else, and in a regulated industry those questions come with an auditor attached.

So we set up a stall with the product running on it, and on Sunday afternoon we took the Loop Arena stage to walk the room through the platform. Late on the last day, Fintech Alliance Nepal presented NepalHRM with a trophy at the stall. The photographs below cover all three days, in the order they were taken. Most of them, including every stage photograph, were taken by Fintech Alliance Nepal's team, and are credited where they appear. Their times come from the cameras themselves, with one correction: the camera that shot the stage ran 25 minutes fast, so its times are set against a phone photo of the same moment.

What we actually ran

A live demo at the stall

The real application on a monitor at the front of the stall, so a visitor could watch an attendance record turn into a payslip line instead of hearing it described.

A pitch on the Loop Arena stage

A walkthrough of the platform on Sunday afternoon, slide by slide, from leave and attendance through to reimbursements, ending with everyone lined up on stage.

Conversations worth a follow-up

A "Drop your business card" sign on the table, so a conversation that needed more than one weekend had somewhere to go next.
