The WorkPulse Tracker Is Not Recording
An employee shows no tracked time, the tracker reports limited, or the installer refuses to open.
Three different faults look the same on the dashboard. Never tracked usually means the person never signed in to the tracker, because each employee gets their own token and it has to be used once. Limited on macOS means the two required system permissions are not both granted, and the tracker only re-checks them at startup, so granting them without a full restart changes nothing. An installer that will not open is the operating system, not the file: macOS quarantines a fresh download and Windows warns because that installer is unsigned.
Work through these in order
Cheapest first. Each step says what you should see if it worked, so you can stop as soon as it does.
Confirm the person ever signed in
Never tracked almost always means an unused token. Resend the invitation, or have them paste the token into the tracker's sign-in screen directly.
They appear as tracking within a few minutes of starting work.
On macOS, grant both permissions and then fully quit
Screen Recording and Accessibility are both required, and the tracker checks them when it starts rather than continuously. Grant them, quit the app completely rather than closing its window, and reopen it.
The status moves off limited.
Expect a warning on first launch, on both platforms
macOS quarantines anything freshly downloaded, and the Windows installer is unsigned so SmartScreen warns. Neither means the file is damaged. Download from the official page rather than from a forwarded copy.
The installer proceeds.
Check the module is switched on for the workspace
The tracker will not report anything if the feature is off for the company. An admin can confirm it in the workspace feature settings.
Data starts appearing on the dashboard.
Do not confuse tracked hours with paid hours
Tracked time is unlocked laptop time. Meetings, breaks and reading all count if the machine is open. It is not an attendance record and should not be reconciled against one.
The number stops looking wrong, because you are reading it as what it is.

Still stuck? Send us this
Include all of it in the first message and the first reply back is usually a fix rather than a question.
- The employee name and their operating system with its version.
- What the tracker shows: never tracked, limited, or tracking with no data.
- Whether the invitation token has been used.
- Whether the module is switched on for the workspace.
Asked most often
Their token has not been used. Each person gets their own with their invitation, and it has to be entered once at first launch. Resend the invitation or have them paste the token into the sign-in screen.
It only re-checks at startup. Closing the window is not enough: quit the application fully, then open it again.
That warning is expected. The Windows installer is not code signed today, so SmartScreen flags it on first run. Download it from the official page rather than a copy somebody forwarded, and the file is the one we published.
No. WorkPulse is the desktop activity tracker, which measures application usage and focus on a computer. The desktop app is a different download. They are separate products and separate installers.
No. It measures activity on a computer, not physical location. Location comes from the mobile app on workspaces that have turned that on, and it is a different feature with different settings.
