Gaura Parva is the festival of the goddess Gaura, Parvati, kept chiefly in Sudurpashchim. Women fast, carry Gaura's figure in procession and sing and dance the deuda for several days.
A holiday for those who observe it: who qualifies?
The notice grants Gaura Parva to the communities that observe it rather than to a place. That leaves the employer to decide who qualifies, and the cleanest way is to write it into the leave policy: the day is available to staff who observe it, on their own request.
